About Stratos-Tools

Originally from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, I moved to Canada in 2017. With over 14 years of experience specializing in heavy backend architecture, I built Stratos-Tools to bring strict engineering discipline to personal finance.

I originally built it to solve my own problem. While preparing for a personal mortgage renewal, I realized that most free online calculators were either deeply flawed, trying to sell me a loan, or completely ignored the nuances of Canadian semi-annual compounding. None of them helped me answer the most important wealth-building question: Should I pay down this debt, or invest the difference?

After seeing how helpful the exact math was for my own family's financial planning, I decided to polish the UI and release it for free. My goal is to build clean, frictionless, and mathematically bulletproof tools that help people make confident financial decisions — without harvesting their data.
